Fire Alarm Service Technician


Fire Alarm Service Technician for Fire Alarm service. We install fire alarm, fire suppression, and mass notification systems in commercial, industrial, governmental, healthcare, utilities, military, and education facilities. We are a Notifier NESCO Engineered Systems Distributer and Cooper Notification Channel Partner.


Compensation:


• Hourly- based on experience

Duties:


Reporting to the Service Manager, the Alarm Technician is responsible for daily troubleshooting, on-site service and installation duties.  The qualified candidate will have very strong communication skills and possess a customer centric focus.  Candidate will be responsible for installation, upgrading, service and maintenance fire alarm, and computer networking equipment.  This position is full time and includes on-call duties.

  1. Inspections and programming of alarm fire alarm systems
  2. Daily hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level
  3. Working directly in the field, on the most efficient way to solve service issues
  4. Proper request of site service equipment needs through Dispatch
  5. Customer Training as needed
  6. Troubleshooting service issues remotely and on site if needed
  7. Candidate will maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels by conducting physical inventory counts when advised by management.
  8. Verify and submit all documentation as per the company policies.

Requirements:


• 5+ years of fire protection experience

• Must have a Texas FAL. or APS.

• FEL-(B or A) a plus

• Safety training OSHA 10 or 30 

• Be personable and sociable

• Clean Driving Record

• Be a self starter

• Must have strong written and verbal skills

• Must be Notifier certified or have been certified.

• Must be proficient in MS Excel, Verifier tools, Networking, Voice Systems, strong computer skills

• Willingness to work long hours and be on call when needed

Estimator


Estimator and sales of projects typically between $20,000 and $2 million in size. We install fire alarm, fire suppression, and mass notification systems in commercial, industrial, governmental, healthcare, utilities, military, and  education facilities.


Compensation:


• Salary based on experience

• Signing Bonus

• Commissions

• Paid holidays and vacation

• Vehicle and mileage expenses

Duties:


• Estimating new projects

• Creating and managing leads for new projects

• Job site walk-downs

• Project costing

• Labor review and tracking

• Collaborating with field supervision

• Managing projects

• 10+ years of fire protection estimating experience

• 10+ years of project management experience

• Must have a Texas FAL. or FPSL • Safety training

• Be personable and sociable

• Must have strong math skills

• Must have strong written and verbal skills

• Must be familiar with Notifier, Firelite

• Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project,

• Willingness to work long hours if needed
